Platypen LLC ("Platypen," "we," "us") operates Diaper Days and this website. This policy covers the app, related support and online services, and the website. Platypen is the controller when we decide how and why personal information is processed. Apple and other independent services also process information under their own privacy notices. Contact support@platypen.com with questions or privacy requests.

Privacy at a glance

Most app content stays on your devices and in your Apple account. Requested online features send selected information to Platypen and providers; Platypen does not keep a central library of your care records. Providers may retain limited content or metadata for service operation, security, abuse prevention, diagnostics and legal obligations.

We use commercial AI services that do not train or improve their general-purpose models using app inputs or outputs. We do not opt in to voluntary provider training or data-sharing programs. Reports you deliberately send us and limited usage and diagnostic information can help us improve the Services.

App analytics use predefined events, exclude content you add to or create in the app, and are not used for advertising. Product analytics are enabled by default and can be turned off in Settings. Website and app analytics are not linked to each other. Website information may be used for marketing, with the choices required by law.

We do not sell personal information for money, disclose it to data brokers, or use app content or app analytics for targeted advertising.

1. Information we process and store

We process information to provide the features you use. Processing can include receiving or sending information without keeping it after the request. Sections 4 through 7 explain where Diaper Days content is stored and when it is sent to a provider.

App content includes the care events, photos and other material you add or create. We also process purchase information, such as subscription status; technical and usage information, such as app version and feature-use events; and messages or reports you send us. Apple handles payment-card and Apple Account payment details; Platypen does not receive them.

Platypen stores limited service records, such as purchase status, usage allowances, security records and support submissions. Our systems process requested AI content without keeping a lasting server conversation or care library. We exclude app content and credentials from ordinary application logs. Providers may separately keep records under the retention rules below.

2. How we use information

We use information to provide and maintain requested features, synchronize content through Apple, manage purchases and allowances, secure the Services, diagnose errors, respond to support and privacy requests, and comply with law. We use limited usage and diagnostic information to understand feature use and improve the Services.

We do not use ordinary app content to improve our products. We may use a support message, feedback, survey answer, bug report or attachment that you deliberately send to respond, investigate and improve the Services.

3. Providers and other recipients

We disclose information to providers that host, secure, analyze or support the Services; Apple for platform and purchase features; AI providers for requests you submit; and people or destinations you choose through sharing or export. We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a sale, merger or restructuring of Platypen, subject to this policy and applicable law.

Providers acting for Platypen process information under their service agreements. Independent services, including Apple, apply their own terms and privacy notices. AI and infrastructure providers may retain content or metadata for operations, caching, diagnostics, security, abuse prevention, support and legal compliance. This retention does not permit our AI providers to use app content for general-purpose model training.

4. Diaper Days care records and Apple services

Diaper Days is designed for adults caring for children. It does not offer child accounts or ask children to submit information. Adults should enter and share information only when authorized to do so.

You choose what to record, including profile details, daily care events and related notes or photos. These can include health information, such as growth measurements or medication records. Invited caregivers can add and edit information in a shared profile. You can also import information from files or photos you select.

Care records are stored on your device and synchronize through Apple's private and shared iCloud services when your Apple account and system settings allow. Everyday tracking does not send your care history to Platypen or an AI provider. Local tracking remains available on iPhone when iCloud is unavailable. Device and iCloud backups can hold additional copies.

Apple processes information for iCloud, Siri, Shortcuts and other platform services under its own settings and privacy notices. Siri processing can involve Apple's servers. Widgets, reminders and Live Activities can display care information on a Home or Lock Screen. Use the app's privacy options and your device settings to control those displays.

5. Caregiver sharing and photos

Sharing a profile gives invited caregivers access to that profile and its events, including attached photos. Caregiver names and edit attribution can appear with shared events. Use Manage sharing in the profile's Settings to review access. Removing access cannot recall copies a recipient already saved or exported, and other devices may take time to receive a change.

You choose the photos to attach or import. A photo can retain camera or location metadata supplied by your photo library. Exporting the original through the system share sheet can include that metadata. Review what you share and the destination you choose.

6. Local imports and optional AI tools

Supported ordinary file imports are parsed and reviewed on your device without uploading the source to Platypen or an AI provider. If you choose to submit import feedback with entry details attached, the selected rows and original source fields are sent with that support report. These fields can include child and caregiver names, external profile identifiers, care records and birth details. You can review the attachment and turn off entry details before submitting. A local import history keeps accepted source rows and fingerprints to recognize previously imported events. It stays on the device until the corresponding profile is deleted and is not included in ordinary care-history exports.

When you use an AI import tool, selected photos or file contents, your instructions, proposed events and relevant context pass through Platypen to an AI provider. Relevant context can include requested profile details, custom care-item names and remembered import instructions. These can contain personal or health information. Saved care history and caregiver-sharing details are not automatically provided as a general history for the model to search.

Theme and icon tools send your request, style instructions and relevant custom item names to an AI provider. A custom name can describe a medicine, symptom or other sensitive detail. The app explains the information sent before first use of the relevant AI feature. Buying a subscription does not give consent to AI processing. You can continue ordinary tracking without using AI.

AI tools produce proposals for you to review. You choose which proposed events or profile changes to save. Relevant context may also be sent after an import ends to update remembered instructions for later imports. Our AI providers do not use these inputs or outputs to train or improve their general-purpose models, but operational and abuse-monitoring retention may apply.

7. Private AI history, working files and artwork

AI conversations and remembered instructions are stored separately on your device and in your same-user private iCloud storage. They are not shared with invited caregivers. Relevant history or instructions can be sent to the AI provider with later requests. Reset AI memories removes that remembered context through the app's controls; it does not remove care records you already saved.

Pending import sources and review checkpoints stay in device-only working files until completion, discard or the applicable cleanup. They support resuming an interrupted import. Generated themes and icons belong to your private appearance library, separate from shared care records. Subscription expiry preserves saved care records and generated assets; custom appearance returns to the default until eligible access resumes.

8. Diaper Days Consumer Health Data Privacy

This notice explains how Platypen LLC handles consumer health data in Diaper Days. It covers care records, selected imports and AI requests, and information that can reveal use of a health-related care feature.

Health data and its sources

Health data can include feeding, sleep, growth, medication or symptom records and related notes, images and profile details. We receive it from adult caregivers, invited caregivers, files and photos you select, and proposals generated from that material. Limited usage analytics can indicate which care category or tool was used without including content you add to or create in the app.

How we use it

We process health data to provide the tracking, sharing, import, appearance or support feature you request. Limited usage analytics help us maintain and improve the app. A report you deliberately send can also help us investigate and improve the Services. We do not use ordinary app content to improve our products or train AI models. Our AI providers do not train or improve their general-purpose models using app inputs or outputs.

Everyday care records stay on your devices and in Apple's iCloud services. When you use an optional AI tool, selected source material and relevant profile, custom-item or remembered context pass through Platypen to an AI provider. These can include health data. The app explains this processing before first use. You can continue ordinary tracking without using AI.

Information shared and recipients

Caregivers and export destinations you select receive the records you share. Apple receives care records and related information for storage and platform features. AI providers and supporting infrastructure receive selected request content and context to complete optional AI features. Support providers receive the information you deliberately include in a report. Hosting and security providers process request and security information needed to deliver and protect these services. Analytics and diagnostic providers receive limited usage and technical information that can indicate a care category, without content you add to or create in the app.

Each receives the categories needed for its role. We do not share consumer health data with affiliates, sell it, or use it for advertising. Providers may retain limited information for operations, security, abuse prevention, support and legal obligations, subject to applicable deletion duties. An in-app action cannot recall a copy another caregiver already saved or exported.

Your health-data rights

Where applicable, you may confirm whether we collect or share your consumer health data, access it, request a list of the recipients and their contact details as required by law, withdraw consent to future collection or sharing, and request deletion. Stop using an optional feature or contact us to withdraw consent; use the app's controls for records stored on your devices and in iCloud. Withdrawal does not undo earlier lawful processing.

Email support@platypen.com to exercise these rights for yourself or a child you are authorized to represent. We verify and handle requests under applicable law, including required notice to processors or other recipients. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

If we deny a request, reply with the subject Privacy Appeal. We will explain the result and how to complain to the relevant state Attorney General, including the Washington Attorney General or Nevada Attorney General. General retention exceptions do not limit health-data deletion rights that applicable law requires us or our providers to honor.

Contact and changes

Contact Platypen LLC at support@platypen.com. We post updates with the Last updated date, provide prominent notice of material changes and obtain consent when required. The complete Privacy Policy also explains app storage, analytics, retention, website information and general privacy rights.

9. App analytics and diagnostics

We collect predefined app-use and technical events to understand feature use and diagnose problems. They do not include content you add to or create in the app. A feature-use event can still show which care category or tool you used. We do not use app analytics for advertising.

A random Platypen identifier can associate analytics and diagnostic records from our apps on the same device and in the same environment. It is not an account identity and is not synchronized across your devices or linked to website analytics. Analytics providers process the identifier for us. If you send a report containing it, we associate it with your message only to investigate and respond.

Product analytics are enabled by default. Turn them off in Settings to stop new product-analytics capture and experiment exposure. Queued or in-flight reports can still arrive. Limited native crash, security and essential reliability diagnostics remain enabled. We remove the shared analytics identifier from continuing independent diagnostics after opt-out; reports captured earlier may retain it. Turning analytics off does not delete records already received.

Automatic diagnostics exclude app content. Providers also receive ordinary connection and device information when reports reach their systems. Apple separately provides App Store and diagnostic reporting under its own privacy choices. Diaper Days does not use automatic screen recording or session replay.

10. Retention

Care records remain on your devices and in iCloud until deleted, subject to sync, backups and copies held by others. Private AI history, remembered instructions, pending sources and generated assets have the separate controls described above.

Platypen and providers retain purchase and allowance records while needed to provide and restore access, prevent abuse, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. Security and diagnostic records remain while needed to protect and operate the Services. Analytics remain while needed to understand usage and improve the app, subject to the provider's retention and deletion processes. Support submissions remain while needed to respond, investigate, improve the Services and meet legal obligations.

Provider backups, aggregated information and legally required records may remain after an app-facing deletion. Backup deletion can occur on a delayed cycle. We honor applicable retention limits and deletion duties.

11. Export, deletion and your choices

Use the app's export and deletion controls and follow the Diaper Days data guide. Deleting one profile does not delete other profiles. A profile owner can delete the profile and its care events; a participant can leave a shared profile without deleting the owner's copy. Existing exports and copies held by other caregivers are outside the app's deletion controls.

Deleting a profile removes its care data through the app's deletion controls. It does not automatically delete analytics or support reports already received by Platypen or providers. Use the privacy-request contact below to request removal of information we can reasonably identify as yours. Some backups, aggregates or records that cannot be associated with you may remain under the retention limits above. Later activity with analytics enabled can create new records.

Removing the app or changing system iCloud settings does not reliably delete cloud records, end a share, erase provider records or cancel a subscription. Complete the relevant in-app steps first.

You can also email support@platypen.com to request deletion of Platypen-held information we can reasonably identify as yours. We may retain records needed for security, purchases, legal obligations, disputes or honoring a privacy choice, subject to mandatory deletion rights.

12. Website privacy

Our hosting and security providers receive request information such as an IP address, browser type and requested page to deliver and protect this website. Emailing us sends your address, message and chosen attachments. We use those messages to respond, investigate and improve the Services. Send only information relevant to your request.

Website measurement can include pages viewed, campaign referrals and predefined interactions used to understand visits, run experiments and market our apps. Website and app analytics are not linked to each other. Website analytics never include content you add to or create in our apps. We do not use consumer health data for advertising.

Website tools may use cookies or similar identifiers. Some advertising uses may be called sale, sharing or targeted advertising under privacy law even when no money changes hands. Where required, we ask before using nonessential tools, provide consent and opt-out choices, and honor Global Privacy Control. We do not respond to other browser Do Not Track signals. Following an external link opens a service with its own privacy practices.

Website analytics remain while needed for measurement, experiments and marketing, subject to provider retention and deletion. Hosting and security records remain while needed to operate and protect the website. You may request deletion of website data we can identify as yours through the contact below.

13. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a portable copy of personal information; object to or restrict processing; withdraw consent; opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising or certain profiling; appeal a denied request; and complain to a privacy authority. We do not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

Email support@platypen.com and tell us whether your request concerns the app or website and which right you want to exercise. We may not hold records we can associate with you. We may ask for limited information to locate a record and verify your authority, but will not ask for a password, one-time code or unnecessary copy of your care history.

We respond within the time required by law, generally one month for EEA or UK requests and 45 days for covered US state-law requests. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying with the subject Privacy Appeal. You may also complain to your local authority, including your EEA data-protection authority or the UK's Information Commissioner's Office.

14. EEA and UK processing

Where EEA or UK law applies, we rely on contract to provide requested services and purchases; legitimate interests to secure and maintain the Services, diagnose failures and understand product use after considering the effect on people; consent for optional processing that requires it; and legal obligations to meet applicable requirements. Where required for health or other special-category information, we obtain explicit consent or rely on another lawful special-category condition. You may withdraw consent and object to processing through the available controls or by contacting us.

We do not use solely automated processing to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you or a child. AI proposals require your review before becoming saved care events or profile changes.

15. International processing and security

Platypen is based in the United States. Providers may process information in the United States and other countries. When law requires a transfer safeguard, we use the terms in a provider's standard business agreement or another lawful transfer mechanism. Contact us for information about applicable safeguards.

We use platform storage protections, encrypted connections, access controls and logging restrictions appropriate to the information processed. No system is completely secure.

16. Changes and contact

We post updates on this page and identify the current version with the Last updated date. We provide prominent notice of material changes and request consent when required by law.
